Dr. Mary Lewis completed her undergraduate degree with distinction in speech/hearing science at University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign followed by a master’s degree in logopedics from Wichita State University. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from AT Still University in Mesa, Arizona. She also has earned a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Dr. Lewis’s clinical areas of interest include diagnostics and aural rehabilitation. She believes that the ability to hear and participate in meaningful communication with others is what separates people from the rest of the animal kingdom. Good hearing is not a luxury item and any need for intervention needs to be given the same emphasis and care as other parts of the body. She has worked in several Sound Health divisions and is currently seeing patients in our Des Peres office and in Creve Coeur. In her spare time, Dr. Lewis is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys binge-watching TV shows on streaming channels, particularly mysteries, science fiction and period/historical pieces.
