Working here has been a game changer. The physician’s & management truly care about their employees. Having paid holidays is wonderful. Coming from the hospital system, it is a breath of fresh air. Not many companies truly care & show appreciation to all of their employees.

The reasons I love my job; working for a smaller company instills more of a family atmosphere in the workplace. I truly enjoy my coworkers as we are not just coworkers, we are all one big family. We help each other, grieve with each other and celebrate each other’s accomplishments. This is my number one reason I have been here for all these years. I also feel it is easier to approach my immediate supervisors and providers with questions/ problems in a smaller company. I previously worked for a hospital and was often met with negative outcomes or responses when I would bring up issues/ concerns to administration. I did not feel like I was appreciated as an employee when I worked in a hospital setting. I also rarely had any type of positive feedback about my job performance in the hospital setting despite often going above and well beyond my set job duties. I enjoy interacting with our patients daily and often feel as though our patients that we see often are also part of the office family. I have watched some of these children literally grow up over the last 11 years. Our cancer patients that we see every few months for surveillance are grateful for our kindness and compassion. Our patients really appreciate the atmosphere at our office as we know that most people don’t look forward to going to the doctor.

Working at Sound Health has pushed me in surprising ways. Working in a doctor’s office, it’s common to see something new come in, but working at the walk-in clinic, we see something new every day. We meet incredible people, hear incredible stories. Our regulars (allergy shots and certain other patients) show their appreciation for us every time they come in. We’ve also hit the jackpot when it comes to providers. Working somewhere that the providers are so easy to work with can be a rarity in the medical field. The work environment is better than I’ve experienced at any of my other employers and I look forward to coming to work every day.
