March 8, 2022 – Sound Health Services, the largest private practice Otolaryngology group in the St. Louis region, has formed Sound Health MSO, a management services organization (MSO) that provides a wide range of administrative services and management functions needed by physician practices to be successful in today’s challenging health care environment.
After nearly 20 years of delivering quality care and providing practice management services under the Sound Health Services, P.C. umbrella, Sound Health is using its experience and expertise in physician practice operations and practice integration through Sound Health MSO to deliver services and support to more practices across a broader geographic area.
“The MSO model has been extensively used by private equity firms to deliver practice management services to their affiliates. Sound Health MSO provides a viable alternative to private equity acquisition or hospital ownership for physicians committed to physician owned private practice,” said Dave Hinkle, CEO of Sound Health MSO. The MSO offers multiple service and integration scenarios to address the needs and circumstances of different practices.
Dr. James Hartman, otolaryngologist and president of Sound Health Services, explained that the creation of Sound Health MSO is a very positive move for the future for Sound Health physicians and other providers that choose to join the new organization.
“Over the past few years, physicians have faced increasingly difficult challenges managing their practices,” Dr. Hartman said. “We now have a better way to utilize our expertise and resources in both practice management and practice integration to help physicians navigate the future and remain in private practice.”
